Nothing to prove

  1. For decades, I’ve been mouthing a glib platitude along the lines of “Bill Clinton has a flawed character, but he was a good president”. Now, I’ve just read an article in “The Atlantic” entitled “What Hillary Knew” that examines this belief and totally debunks it. I’m left in a state of uncertainty, as in “You know nothing, John Snow!”. I’ve been thinking of you, as I watch an increasing number of “certainties” deserting me. I’m starting to feel that truth can only be found in poetry, music and art.
